Twiggy
Early in her career, Lesley dropped her birth name, and used a modification of her childhood nickname, “Twigs.” She explained how she used to be teased at school for being so skinny, to the point where she thought she was funny looking. I really admire her ability to turn perceived negatives into, not only positives, but have that be the driving force of her career and brand.
I believe that women are resilient, nurturing, intelligent, and full of light. Through portrait painting, my goal is to help all women feel empowered, and to be able to express themselves freely.
